Dedicated to my friends

She took a breath, and stood up, trying not to faint.
Diana clutched her bags as she prepared to board the plane.

She walked past the rows of seats, and found her chair.
She stared out the window and nervously tugged at her hair.

"Hello dear," an old woman said, "I guess I'm sitting here."
Diana smiled and sighed. She was not ready for this long ride.

A slight shake of the plane woke Diana up from her nap. She turned and saw the sun lowering in the sky.
The old lady patted her shoulder. "Why don't we talk," she suggested, "so the time can pass by."
Diana imagined the new life she would have to start in London and began to cry.
"I'm going to university in London, and I don't think I'll survive."

"Now now dear, no need to cry, just lay back and close your eyes."
Diana dozed off, but when she woke up again she was still on the plane.
"How long have we been here?" she asked. Someone answered, "almost two days."

There was a light that passed her by. It was a shooting star, and it was painting the sky.
She wished for everything to be okay. After all, she has only been on the plane for two days.
