'Twas the night after finals, all through the arena, 

the only one moving was the girl named Katrina. 

She was walking and pondering the great final feat, 

accomplished in 2012 by the Miami Heat.

The players were all nestled snug in their beds,

with visions of gold trophies in their heads,

they only had to win another 4 games,

their best chance was the powerful LeBron James.

While outside Miami there was such a clatter,

the Heat were conversing in such a chatter,

they had beaten the Celtics, the Knicks and Pacers

they had all fallen victim to the Heat's erasers.

The road by the Thunder was so much less hard,

just like taking a walk in your own backyard,

they had beaten the Mavericks, the Spurs, and Lakers 

those teams were all just a bunch of fakers. 

LeBron wanted to get his championship ring, 

to secure his place in basketball as the king.

Durant was there to take it away,

the players were both just ready to play.

Now James! now, Wade! now, Bosh and Scott Brooks,

Now Durant! now Westbrook! now Harden and Cooks.

They all wanted to win their trophies and rings,

but by the end of game 1, the Thunder were kings.

The Heat were in need of a precious game 2,

They silenced the Thunder fans in navy blue.

Durant was beaten on his own floor,

He would need to win one in Miami by the shore.

The Thunder went to Miami, were met by fans in white,

They just seamed to move at the speed of light.

As the Thunder fell down 2 games to 1.

They needed a late long stretch run.

Durant was starting to feel his title hopes slip away,

LeBron and company were getting their way.

Westbrook scored 43 for the Thunder in game 4,

But Chalmers led the Heat one game from a victory tour.
