





What is a habitat? A habitat is the natural home or environment that a plant, animal or any other organism lives in.

There are 5 different habitats that animals, plants and organisms can live in. The 5 major habitats are aquatic, desert, forest, grassland, and the arctic.




Some places that animals, plants and organisms can live are in the water and on land!

In these habitats animals get their food, water and shelter. Animals also have certain adaptations for which habitat they live in.



An adaptation is the change that an animal goes through to be better suited to its environment.
Some animals can blend into their surroundings as an adaptation.

Some more adaptations of animals are their claws, thick fur, ears, color of their fur, hibernation and many more.


DESERT
Deserts are hot and humid. There are few animals and plants that live in the Desert because of how hot it is. One plant that is very common in the Desert is cacti.

Some animals and plants in the Desert are snakes, camels, iguanas, scorpions, and cactus.
