This story is about Sasha and what she does that is unique to her culture

An Ethiopian book about their culture.

Sasha's eyes slowly opened as she woke up. She reached over to get her glass of water. She thought to herself, what do I want to do today?

Sasha decided she would go to the market to get ingredients for her berbere, a special spice paste. So she got up and got dressed. She decided she would wear her best kemi, a beautiful dress with embroidered crosses.

When she arrived at the market, she was greeted by a kind man. He complimented her dress, as it was beautiful

Sasha looked around the market for a while before she went to the spice shop. She looked at all the shops and one was selling gabbis, a type of dress for men. But right before she got to the shop, though, she heard a beautiful sound.

It was the sound of the majestic begena. The begana is a lyre, that emits a beautiful harp-like sound. The sound was coming from a music shop right around the corner.

Sasha decided to go into the shop to check it out. When she went in, she was mesmerized at the amount of instruments. There were tons, drums, string instruments, and woodwind instruments.

There were  begenas (a lyre), keberos (a drum), and tsenatsils (a type of rattle). They were all hanging on the wall. She had heard them before at her church ceremonies.
