African Music:
African music is interesting. The first topic is African Hip Hop. African Hip Hop is like American Rap music. Some famous African rappers are Nasty C, Cassper Nyovest, Falz, Sarkodie, M.I Abaga, AKA, Khaligraph Jones, and Nadia Nakai. In the Hip Hop music videos there are many different instruments played.
The traditional music created by Africa’s many peoples has always formed an important part of everyday life on the continent. In more recent times, African popular music has blended traditional styles with elements taken from Western music. In turn, African music has had a great impact on music far beyond Africa’s borders.
The second topic is Black Ladysmith Mambazo. Black Ladysmith Mambazo is a part-time of the time-honored African tradition of South African Zulu male who is the founder of the South African vocal group. A fun fact is African music is used for social and ceremonial purposes. The Black Ladysmith Mambazo is a South African vocal group. They sing about the struggles of black people.
AfroCubism is an award-winning, Grammy-nominated album featuring musical collaborations between musicians from Mali and Cuba. It was released in 2010.The idea behind AfroCubism was the original concept for the Buena Vista Social Club album of 1997 which featured many of the same Cuban musicians. This original concept however, was thwarted when the Cuban visas for the Malian musicians were delayed in the post.

Hip hop music has been popular in Africa since the early 1980s due to widespread African American influence. In 1985 hip hop reached Senegal, a French-speaking country in West Africa. Ladysmith Black Mambazo are a South African male choral group singing in the local vocal styles of isicathamiya and mbube. For starters, Cuban music is fundamentally rooted in African traditions.
