The creation of Nollywood started in the 1960'S. It was when the first Nollywood movies were being created by very talented filmmakers! The cinema of Nigeria consists of films produced in Nigeria. Nollywood is a $3.3 billion sector, with 1,844 movies produced in 2013 alone.

It was when the first Nollywood movies were being created by historical filmmakers such as Ola Balogun, Hubert Ogunde, Jab Adu, Moses Olayia, and Eddie Ugboma. They are considered to be the first generation of Nigerian Filmmakers.

Kente cloth is a type of silk and cotton fabric made of interwoven cloth strips made and native to the Akan ethnic group of Ghana and is usually worn on the shoulders and waist, similar to a toga.

How Kente cloth is made

Kente cloth is made by thin strips about 4cm thick woven together on narrow looms and is usually made by males. Kente cloth is created by the strips being interlaced to form a fabric which is worn by the shoulders and waist similar to a toga.
