Kente Cloth
Kente cloth is cloth strips made from a type of fabric. It has been on this Earth for hundreds of years from people who make it and appreciate it. Each color has a symbol.
Black= Maturity Blue=Harmony Green=Harvesting Red=Blood Gold=Royalty
These colors are set into a geometric pattern. The cloths were usually worn by kings or chiefs. It is no longer worn just by royalty. Anyone that cab afford it can wear it.

Kente cloths started with the Ashanti people in Ghana. It goes back 375 years. Each pattern has a name. The names can come from events in history, books, human or animal behaviors, or a person's achievements.

Music: Hip Hop
Hip hop in Africa is super popular and widely known for its smooth beats. Africa’s Positive Black Soul started in the early 1990’s. Some songs from the culture even recognize Kwame Nkrumuh, who guided the nation into independence in 1957.
