I would like to dedicate this book to my 2020 Preschool Class at Bright Horizon's. All of you are the inspiration behind this book! Each day is filled with a new adventure and surprise. Thank you for letting me be silly with you during our story times!

One Friday morning, Luke a four-year old boy was feeling "over-the-moon" when he arrived to school. You see, it was "Show-n-Tell" and he was very excited to share what he brought to school.

Luke decided he was bringing, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" the night before school. To make sure he didn't lose his book, he used his name card his mom made for him to practice writing the letters in his name. Luke was able to copy all the upper case letters from his name card into the inside of his book.
After putting his things away and eating breakfast with his classmates, the teacher begins to sing the "Circle-Time" song. Immediately Luke and his classmates head to the block area.

Once all the students sat in a circle they began to sing the "Good Morning" song. Each friend took turns saying their first and last name as they went around the circle. As soon as the song was done, Luke began singing the "Seven Days" song for he remembered the words as well as the days of the week.

Luke was anxious to share his book he brought for story time, but it was time to count the numbers on the calendar. Today the class was counting up to 20. "One, two, three", Luke pointed as he counted each number but after counting up to 15 he needed help from his classmates and teacher to finish.

Now it was story time! The teacher asked if any friends wanted to share a story from home and Luke immediately raised his hand.

Before reading Luke's story, all the children started talking at once about how they have the same story at home. One of Luke's classmates, Amelia who is five years old and can speak clearly says, "My mom reads that story to me at home!". Amelia, the oldest in the class starts to tell parts of the story before the teacher begins.

Finally once the teacher settled the class down, she began to read Luke's book, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". As she turned through the pages she asked open-ended questions like, "What do you think will happen once the caterpillar eats all the food"?
