Hi guys! I'm Timmy Tiger and I want to know what's inside all of my cells. Each cell contains several organelles in order to help it function properly. Come join me meet all the organelles, so we can both learn together!

Before we begin, let's meet one of my cells...

I'm Charlie the Cell and I am one of the many cells Timmy Tiger is made of. I am the basic unit of life and all living things are made up of me. Now let's meet all the organelles found inside of me...

I'm the nucleus! I'm the largest organelle found inside the cell and contain genetic material called DNA. I also help control the eating, movement and reproduction going on inside the cell.

I'm the cytoplasm! I'm the fluid that fills up the cell and I'm mostly made up of water.

I'm the Endoplasmic Reticulum or you can call me ER. I'm made up of a series of very tiny roads, in order to move chemical compound back and forth from the nucleus. There's two parts to me: smooth and rough ER.

I'm the mitochondria! I am the powerhouse of the cell since I produce energy. I take food and break it down to make energy.
