This book is dedicated to my silly but lovely family, especially to the kids who rocked it during the Covid-19 quarantine in 2020:
Caleb, Adriana, Stirling, Harrison and Scarlett.
This is a result of our fam-jam-Zoom-meetings. Look closely and you'll find these characters on every page. (Love you all , from Nana/Auntie Debbie)

It was March 2020 when the government spoke.
The Corona Virus had hit and this was no joke:
“Everyone back to your homes, please stay inside”
No school. No parks. All the parents, they cried!

"social distancing"
6ft - 2m

“This is no fun,” Nana Deb turned to say:
“Let’s go online, let’s setup a day
When we can all meet, let’s make some art
Read a story, dance a dance, at least it’s a start!”
Week by week we gathered online;
Themes were emerging one week at a time
The art work astounding from young to old
Rock art expanding and stories were told.

The Paperbag Princess
Goose on the Loose!

April 2, 2020
Week #1
First there were fish, hand-made by a few
A rooster-fish? Does it cockle-doodle-doo?
A watermelon fish came with a t-rex/bunny,
And two 'tp-roll' penguins were quite cute and funny!

Week #2
The woodlands creatures joined us in lieu of a hug:
A hedgehog, a fawn and a rare woodland pug!
Two foxes, two bear-cubs and a cardinal red
A raccoon and a penguin(?) - let's call him "Ted!'

Week 3!

One week, then two, then three and now four.
Staying at home has become a bit of a chore.
The birthday cards were such a surprise,
but there's so much art now we can play I Spy:
Moon, birthday dog, lightening bolt, kungfu-kitty, sporty cat, apples x 2, pineapple x 2, grapes, taco, tulip, sponge-bob, penguin, hedgehog, kitty, dancing plants, cake, dogs x 2 foxes x 2 ....what else can you see?

Week #4

Weeks 5 & 6 of us sticking
close to home bases
Brought a springtime collection of flowers and faces!
Weeks 5 & 6

Week 7 already?
Really it's true!
We all have our comfort drinks, oh yes we do:
Soda & milk, hot chocolate times two.
Some green, some clear and some old favourites too!

covid-comfort drinks

Week 7

Hot chocolate
milk

Week 8...and well...let us just say
For some of us it had been a very long day.
Mustaches appeared out of the blue
And a spontaneous favourite of you know who!
The artwork is great, please take a look;
These are scenes from the grownups' favourite kids books.

Week 8

Can you believe it? Yes it's week #9
Of us all coming together to gather online.
"What makes you happy?" was this week's
Theme; family, cars and special friends make
our hearts gleam!
A fabulous montage & magic asparagus,
A fancy hand & happy song for each one of us!

Week 9
