One sunny morning a little spider was in a big rush to get to school. Today is the day Mrs. Butterfly is going to announce what our play for this year will be!

Alright class settle down. Today's lesson is what our annual play will be about so make sure you pay close attention!

Food Webs

Food webs? Spider knew a lot about webs and he really liked food so this sounded perfect!

Food webs aren't really webs of food, they actually show us the way energy travels through all living things. And this all begins with the sun, its the source of all energy. It's solar waves send light, heat and energy to us everyday!

In a food web there are many levels, producers which are plants are eaten by primary consumers, then thy are eaten by secondary consumers, and they're eaten by tertiary consumers and lastly those are eaten by quaternary consumers.

As these animals form different levels eat animals or plants from lower level they're receiving energy. They will then use this energy to live most importantly but also for fun like running around, you can't do that if you have no energy.
