Preface:
There is a tendency around the world to switch to alternative, renewable energy. It is expected to make solar energy the main inexhaustible source of renewable energy in the 21st century. The sun is a very powerful source of energy. Solar radiation can be converted into thermal energy or electrical energy. Solar energy itself is free, but unfortunately its high cost of assembly, conversion and maintenance still limits its operation. Armenia's unique climate provides up to 300 solar days a year, which makes the use of solar energy attractive. We also want to be involved in that process.
The words energy efficiency and energy saving are often mentioned together. And although there is a connection, these are different concepts. Efficiency means achieving the required results using a small amount of energy. Saving means consuming less energy or refusing to use it at all. Efficiency often leads to energy savings, but not always the opposite.
Working towards energy efficiency requires technological progress and development. Energy saving, in turn, can be considered a virtue. However, it cannot lead to increased productivity. Efficiency means progress and can save our resources and money. Increasing energy efficiency means that we can achieve our energy saving goals without giving up the desired results.
Energy efficiency should not be at the expense of our comfort. We can't turn off the lights, we can't use the appliances that run on electricity, we save energy. We need to find solutions that will allow us to live comfortably and save at the same time. Almost every country in the world is trying to find a solution to this problem in the field of renewable energy. Interesting solutions for energy efficiency in Armenia are offered within the framework of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP Armenia Energy Efficiency Projects).
The study of this project will discuss the relationship between energy saving, energy efficiency, human comfort and the need to emphasize the boundaries between them.
The book presents some of the work done by the students during the project, they will help the reader get an idea of the progress and results of the project.
Teachers from Armenia, Albania, Georgia, Jordan,Ukraine, Greece,Portugal,Turkey and Romania are cooperating within the framework of the program.

Earth Day
Earth Day is an annual event celebrated around the world on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, it now includes events coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network in more than 193 countries.
The Earth Day 20 International Peace Climb was led by Jim Whittaker, the first American to summit Mt. Everest (many years earlier), and marked the first time in history that mountaineers from the United States, Soviet Union, and China had roped together to climb a mountain, let alone Mt. Everest.

Personal development process begins with self-discovery and continues to self-actualization. Before you can develop into the person you want to become, you must first start by finding out who you are ans the skills and abilities that you possess. Through the process of continuously assessing and developing your skills and abilities, you will be eventually master your abilities and yourself. And hopefully, you will ultimately be able to realize your fullest potential and reach self-actualization.
