This book is dedicated to every kid who has been trough a hard challenge like Zana's

There once was a horse named Zana. She worked very hard and loved her family. Zana's job was to help teach kids with, or without a disability to horseback ride.

One day while Zana was at the vet, the vet told Zana that there was something different. The vet did many tests with Zana until she knew what was different.

The vet told Zana that she had a disease called EDS. The vet explained that EDS was a disease that might make her body hurt or feel tired often. The vet told Zana that it was normal to be upset about having EDS because it meant it would keep her from doing regular things like jumping and galloping around with her friends.

Zana felt a strange feeling takeover her. She shook her head said, "No, I can't have EDS, I have a job to do!" The vet told Zana that she could still do her job just with some restrictions.
Once again Zana denied having the zany disease.

No!
Zana then got mad and told the vet I CAN NOT HAVE THAT ZANY DISEASE! She yelled at the vet about how angry she was about having Zany EDS. The vet just listened to Zana yell. The vet finally told Zana it was okay to be mad about the disease, that it would change her life for ever. Zana then felt calmer.

No!!
Zana then asked the vet if she could take away her EDS, she would never fight with her brother again. The vet told Zana that sadly there was no cure to EDS and she would have it forever, even if it kept getting worse. The vet said that it was normal to ask all these questions.

Please?
Zana started to cry. Why me? She asked between sobs. Zana was very sad about the new changes. I don't know, Zana, replied the vet. But, I do know that it's perfectly normal to cry and be sad. Zana felt better and stopped crying.
