Popa Crina
My name is Crina Popa and I want to share my thoughts and feelings about traveling overseas in a different country, living in a different place, staying at someone's house, getting to know students of my age and learning about their culture and traditions.
I was selected in the "Erasmus+ KA229" project together with my deskmate, and friend, Cătălina. Together with her and four other boys from our high school, “Traian Vuia“ Technical College in Romania, were designated to travel to Cyprus, in order to participate at the project activities with the students and teachers from all the schools involved in the project .
For me it was an unforgettable experience because being a very shy and introverted person this was quite of a challenge for me. Actually, for my family and friends it was a shock when I told them that I would like to be part of this project. I am so lucky because I met very kind and careful people, found a way to communicate and have fun and learned so much there. That’s why I and the other students from my high school didn't want to come back home.
I highly recommend this project and life experience to everyone.

One of the most beautiful experiences in my life, was the moment when I found out I had the chance to be part of the Erasmus+ project and go to a country of my choice with my best friend alongside me. It felt like a thrilling experience, getting to see the world through the traditions and routines of other people than mine. I’m a fairly adaptable person, so that was not much of a problem to me. After all, adaptability is a trait needed for these kinds of experience - exchange opportunities. The country of my choice was Cyprus, because, despite not being so well-known, there are some really beautiful things to be seen with a really interesting history.
It was a really amazing experience, one that I will never forget, simply for the versatility it had in it. Getting to document our days on the project’s eTwinning page, will always give us the possibility to view pictures, thoughts and feelings whenever I want to remember of this extraordinary experience.
Going back to my native country I told my friends and family about this experience. Anyway, I am sure to be back in Cyprus one day and visit more of it, as much as I can.
Buda Ovidiu
My name is Buda Ovidiu Florin and I am a student from Oradea, Romania.
In January 2020 I was part of a team who went to Cyprus with the Erasmus+ KA229 project entitled „Volunteerism and Active Citizenship: from Individuals to Organizations”.
That experience truly changed my life. Meeting wonderful people, doing volunteering activities together, visiting amazing places and spending quality time with students of my age from 5 different countries in Europe were things that I will always remember. I gained a lot of knowledge, confidence in myself and a lot of new friends.
The time we spent together was amazing. I am also very glad and happy that I was on the same wavelength with the other kids that took part in the project and we had the chance to create beautiful memories.
This unbelievable "adventure" was really meaningful and fun, and I encourage every student to do the same. Getting involved in European projects brings you a lot of satisfactions and opportunities and you have the chance to win a lot from such an experience.

The idea and concept of travelling to Cyprus started at school when I was selected to be part of an Erasmus+ project team. My English teacher offered me this chance, helped us and handled everything. So, already being part of the project we started the preparations about the journey, topics and reasons of going to Cyprus. As said, we prepared and when we were ready and free to go, we started the journey. While being on our way to Debrecen to take the plane, all I was thinking about was, How will the things be there? or What will be there like? and so on. The curiosity almost killed me and got the best of me. While on the plane I could barely get a second of sleep due to the emotions and thoughts that were crossing my mind at that time.
Finally, when the plane landed and we arrived, all I could say is that the country met my exceptions and was not bad at all. It was as beautiful as I imagined and the people as cheerful and kind as well.
The family that hosted me was extremely friendly and polite, as I said, cheerful and friendly people.
I will just miss the friends and people I met in Cyprus. Hopefully I will meet them again in the future.
Bonyi Kristofer
Hello there! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Bonyi Kristofer from class 11D from "Traian Vuia” Technical College Oradea, Romania.
Starting with the day that the members of the "Cyprus team" had been decided until the day we arrived there I had had feelings and emotions that I can't even name.
When we finally got to meet the other members of the project I had been struck by pure joy because of how nice and polite they were. Communicating was really the best thing about it since they were all very well educated and had a large vocabulary.
It was a sensational volunteering project experience. We planted trees, we cleaned the beach, we painted parking lots and we visited foundations and centres. It was a useful and significant experience.

Participating at the mobility in Cyprus, within the Erasmus+ project called ”Volunteerism and Citizenship: from Individuals to Organizations” brought back unforgettable memories.
For me, this experience was a pleasant one from several points of view: I had the opportunity to visit Cyprus and I met new people, made friends and discovered what it means to be a volunteer. In the future, I really want to get involved in volunteer activities.
Thanks to the teachers who selected me and supported me in this project.

GROZA FLAVIA
Hello, we are Melisa and Flavia and we would like to take you in an imaginary trip to Poland, to see what experience we had. We are 16 years old and in December 2021 we found out that we had been selected to participate in the Erasmus+ KA229 project, so we chose to go to Poland.
In this mobility, I and my classmate with our teachers, Urs Marcela and Voichița Darna, had the pleasure to make part of the best experiences of our lives, starting from visiting the town Ostrów Welkopowsky, the Gołuchów Castle, seeing the most beautiful creatures in the Wrocław Africarium, helping the Ukrainian refugees and finally spending time and getting to know other cultures from other countries.
In Poland, we were 5 countries, Romania, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia and Bulgaria and in total we were like 20 girls and two boys. The fact that we were so many girls made it so fun because it was always something to talk about.
The activities were very fun and creative and we will always remember the places we visited and the people we met in Poland.

MARTON MAXIMILIAN
My name is Karton Maximilian and I am a student from Oradea, Romania. I was selected for the project together with my classmate Lăzuran Ștefan.
The whole project shifted my perspective on people and on voluntary work.
I learned that voluntary work can be fun and people from other countries are not so different from us. I was amazed how warm and helpful people were in Latvia.
It was a great experience and I hope to get another chance to participate in other Erasmus+ projects.
We were in a town named Tukums. The school there organized a lot of fun activities and voluntary work. They managed to keep on our toes and did not let us be bored.

We went to a town called Tukums, at around 60 km from Riga, the capital city. Here we met with students and teachers from all the countries participating in the project. The hosts organized many school activities, voluntary actions and visits. We had the opportunity to work, cooperate and communicate with students of my age from Latvia, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Poland and Italy.
We went to different places, the most special ones being Durbe Mansion, Riga capital city and Kemeri National Park with its Great Kemeri Bog Boardwalk.

FAUR LUCAS
My name is Bîscoveanu Alex-Andrei and I am a student from Oradea, Romania. I participated with other students from my school, Technical College “Traian Vuia”, at a mobility in Latvia.
The city we lived in for a few days was Tukums, a town with beautiful and welcoming people. On the first day we went to the school where we were greeted by everyone. We got to know each other and had an interactive presentation and a “World café” game.
During the second day we participated at an educational workshop at the Nature Education Centre “Meža māja” and did some voluntary work at the Kemeri National Park where we got to work together gathering branches and clearing the path.
The third day started with a visit at Tukums Youth Centre and then we visited the Club of creative personalities “Ligzda” where we found amazing handmade art. Later that day we made a beautiful military camouflage net for Ukraine.
The fourth day was dedicated to a visit to the capital city, Riga. Here we had a guided tour of “The Latvian National Museum of Art” and we visited the Old Riga.
In the end I regret the fact that we did not stay for longer in Latvia and I would love to participate again in such memorable meetings. I recommend to everyone to try this unique experience.
