Fluffy bear was getting ready for his first day of

school. His mom said, "fluffy, you need to wear a mask when you go to school." Fluffy asked, "why do I need to wear a mask?"

Fluffy's mother replied, "to keep you and your friends and teachers at school safe from getting the virus, Covid-19."

Fluffy said, "I will wear my mask and keep it on." I want to be safe and healthy. And I want my friends and teachers to also be safe and healthy." Fluffy's mother said, helping others is a mitzvah. And helping yourself and others to stay safe and healthy is a mitzvah.

What else can you do to keep you and your friends safe and healthy?

On the way to school, Fluffy saw black bear and rabbit. They were all wearing masks. This year at school was going to be different but still fun. They would have toys to play with and make new friends. 

At school, before fluffy and his friends could enter, they took their temperatures, and asked the grownups health questions about the children and families.

some of the questions were:

Have you been exposed to anyone with Covid?

Have you been feeling sick? 

Do you have a fever?

Can you think of other questions that the teachers

might ask you or your grown up?

How else can we stay healthy this year asked Fluffy?

Rabbit said, eating fruits and vegetables, and drinking  milk.  What fruits and vegetables do you like to eat? What kind of milk do you like?

Black bear replied, "we can stay healthy by

eating fish."  Rabbit also said, "chicken is also healthy to eat." What are other foods you can eat to keep you healthy?

Fluffy said, exercise helps you to stay healthy. What kind of exercise do you like to do?

What are other ways you can keep healthy?

The next day, fluffy bear woke up. He was coughing and sneezing. His mother said, "You need to stay home until you are better and do not have a fever and are not taking any medicine."  

Fluffy bear was sad, he liked school, and playing with his friends, even if they had to wear masks to keep them safe and healthy.
