This book is written as a children's book to aid in the understanding of disorders.
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease affects the respiratory system, more specifically the lungs.
I was inspired to write about this disorder because my grandmother was affected by COPD.

"Okay kids get in the car it's time to go to grandpa and grandma's house," my dad said as he pilled our bags in the trunk!
"We're here," I chime from the back seat!
I throw open the car door are run towards the house!
Grandpa and grandma are waiting for me when I get inside!
Everyone greets each other with hugs but somethings different...
Grandma has a strange-looking tube coming out of her nose?
I quietly tug on my dad and ask
"Dad what's that for?,"
"Grandma has a disorder called Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease," my dad explains.
"The airways in her lungs become inflamed, and it makes it hard to breathe," my dad tells me softly.
A little while later it was time for dinner. Everyone was sitting around the table when grandma starts to cough.
"Dad why is grandma coughing?"
my dad explains " Her disorder causes her to cough, and have shortness of breath,".
