When I was 4 years old , my parents left Moldova and went to France. They
wanted to work and to collect money , for us to have the possibility to move to
town , because we were living with my grandma in the village and to buy an
apartment.
My grandma raised me 3 and half years till my parents were in France. These 3
and half years they have sent me a lot of sweets, toys, etc. , but I was very sad
because I wanted my parents to be with me in Moldova. With my grandma I had a
lot of fun , she teached me to read , to count , to speak a little bit France , I was
playing a lot with little ducks, chickens , goats , little cats and dogs , I had a really
nice childhood , but everyday when I was talking with my mom at phone I was sad
because I wanted her to be with me. With my dad I was talking too, but he was
returning home from work very late , so I didn’t have the possibility to talk to him
very frequently, so lets say that I attached more to my mother than to my dad, I
don’t know why. So , finally these 3 and half years have passed and one day my
grandparents from dad’s side came to my grandma and took me to the airport
saying that they just want to walk with me in the town , we arrived there and I saw
them and started crying because it was like a dream for me, we kissed and hugged
a lot , seeing my mom I was very happy ,seeing my dad I was also happy but not so
happy like I was for my mother. Then we moved to our new apartment, I went to
school , and I was very distant with my dad , like 6 months I wanted my mom just
for me , when it was time to sleep I was always crying because I wanted to sleep
with her. After like a month my dad had to leave Moldova and go back in France ,
at the beginning I was happy , but after like a week I started miss him , and called
him saying ,,Sorry’’ for my behavior, he was in France for 3 months but for me
was like a eternity, and when he returned back I started respect him and love my
both parents very much. After seeing how is without my dad , I can’t imagine my
life without him , and I love him very much. Now I’m very glad that I have him
with me , and I try to enjoy every moment with him, he is always helping and
supporting me with everything.
My advice to everybody is to love and respect their parents , because without
one of them life is impossible.
2 ,,A Poor Life'' by Savca Iana
Linda lived a normal life. She was a perfectionist, never letting things that
don’t interfere with her routine distract her. Also, she always did the right thing
at the right time. Therefore, her ability to manage time surprised everybody.
However, one day she woke up too late to get to her work place in time. It
was the first time when she didn’t respect her own schedule. This little event
caused her to have a deep state of panic. With her routine being interrupted she
didn’t know what to do so she started walking her apartment and realized that she
did nothing but waste time. Even if Linda would start doing something, her
actions didn’t seem to have an exact purpose as she was used to. But then she
started thinking about her work and about how being always too busy made her
have a fake feeling of accomplishment. In reality she never did something for her
self-development. Consequently, she felt even more anxious than before.
Linda couldn’t help but notice that from now on her thoughts would get
even worse if she wouldn’t do anything. She went for a walk in the park because
she thought this was the proper way to clear her mind. On her way she met her
childhood friend. He was in a hurry and he almost didn’t recognize her. Linda
exclaimed excited:
“Hello, Pete! Long time no see!”
“Hello. I can’t speak right now. I’m sorry.” He mumbled.
“Oh, alright then. But when will you be able to speak? I’m really curious
what you did all those years.” She said as he was already turning to leave.
She suddenly saw herself in her old friend – always in a hurry. Linda
decided that she didn’t want to be like that anymore. She continued her walk and
observed a bunch of simple things that she was too busy to notice before. Finally,
she understood how mechanical her life was till that point.
Later, while she was reading a poetry book, she found interesting the lines:
“A poor life this if, full of care, /We have no time to stand and stare.” because
they coincided with what she understood in that day.
3 ,,Family day'' by Plotean Madalina
It was a sunny winter’s sunday. My family and I decided to organize a family day and to spend time together. My father was always busy and for us it was a problem. Sometimes he didn’t have a lot of free time or sometimes my mother was occupied.
Firstly, we discussed where better to go and finally it was the city Chişinău , because we lived in Grigoriopol. Also my mother determined that we would go to Andy's Pizza whereas she knew how much I and my little brother like pizza.
When we arrived in Chişinău ,our family went to the restaurant ,after we did some shopping and finally we walked in the park.
In the park was a special atmosphere. Because it was the end of the winter and there was no snow ,the trees were barely awake, the birds were not singing and it was a special silence. My father and my brother were playing together, but I and my mother had a beautiful conversation between mother and daughter.
Because we had some time left we decided to pay a visit to grandmother and I think it was a good idea.We were very happy and she also was surprised. She cooked for us some pies with cheese and some pies with potatoes and they were so tasty. The Grandmother's pies are a different type of cooking art and it’s a shame if you don’t eat them.
In conclusion I can say that to spend your free time with family is a very amazing thing and you can make better the relation between you. I liked that day. It gives me a lot of special and warm emotions and I never forget it.Also I noticed that to make happy the persons who are close to you is a magical state that cannot be explained in words. I can give you some advice . If you have some free time ,don’t spend it working, but try to do the things that are important for you and can make memories .
4 ,,Regrets in time'' by Moroi Gabriela
Ann and Mike had been married for 2 years, they had no children. They lived in Los Angeles in a modern house, bought by Mike. The more they were married, the less attention Mike showed her. It all started a year after they were married, in autumn, exactly when Mike took over a new post, main manager.
In the first year of marriage Mike always showed her due attention, bathed her in gold and both were fulfilled, even from a financial point of view. And so it was, until Mike was promoted in autumn . He started working more and more, to came home late and Ann was alone almost all the time, even on weekends. That’s why in the autumn she decided to talk to her husband about the new problem, money was not a problem, because her medical salary and Mike’s old salary were completely enough. Mike agreed with this discussion, but still continued to work extra, being blinded by money and career.
Ann, not finding the attention she was looking for at Mike, started spending
more time with her co-worker John, with whom she had been working for 4 years. He began to accompany her home, began to give her flowers. Ann felt uncomfortable with Mike, but her discussions about Mike’s work did not help. Mike because of his career did not notice these things. Until on a rainy night when Mike got home, Ann talked to him about divorce.
and this discussion was not a threat, but a prevention, because Ann has already decided.
So they divorced, Ann started dating John, they started a happy and fulfilled relationship. After this Mike had all the time in the world to took care of his career, nothing confused him anymore, but he still deeply regreted what happened and wanted to go back in time, but it was too late. That is why we must organize and plan our lives in such a way as to live without regrets, to establish a balance between personal life and work for our total satisfaction.
5 ,,The Jacket'' by Bogdan Sirbu
Who says that luck doesn’t exist is incredibly wrong and in this story I will prove that.
In November of 2019 my brother was a contender in the school’s junior prom. As usual, at this kind of proms is a certain theme and in that year it was “Hollywood Gala”. There were several tasks that he must had been prepared for and one of them was to wear the same clothes as a famous couple from Hollywood, and yes, he was participating with a girl from our class.
They chose to wear the same clothes as Robert Downey Jr and his wife because the clothes were very simple, he had worn a black suit with a white shirt and a black tie and she had worn a simple black dress.
My brother had every piece of clothing, except the black jacket and we decided to rent one on prom day in order not to spend too much money. But we didn’t thought what we will do if we don’t find one.
The prom day came and my brother had to enter on stage at 5PM, so I
calculated that I had enough time to rent a jacket after school, which ended at 1:30PM . I went to a place that I had known is renting suits but the seller said ‘We rent only the whole suit’. I thought that this is better than nothing but after he said the price I just turned around and got out, without even saying goodbye. After that I went in some clothing stores but I didn’t find the jacket I needed. When I got out from the last store the time was 3PM. I called my father with the hope that he knew someone who had a black jacket. At that moment he was at one of his friends and he asked him of a black jacket. That man said that his son had one and I was very happy that I resolved this problem.
I went to get the bus to home, and I waited, and waited, and waited and 50 minutes passed. I started to be worried that I wouldn’t be in time to bring the jacket. So I went to wait the microbus and after 20 minutes it came, but it was full like a can with sardines. After I got on I called my mom to go to the station and bring me the jacket. When I got off the microbus my mother was waiting me at the station, and, like a divine sign, the bus was coming slowly uphill, going to the city. My mom gave me the jacket and I got on the bus. After I put the foot on city’s ground I started running. I arrived at school at 4:50 PM and after that my brother was ready to get on the stage.
He got only the 4th place out of 5 but that was a beautiful experience for him and look at the bright side, he didn’t get the last place.

6 ,,The phantom of the family'' by Sirbu Marcu
The day started as always for me, only the beginning was normal. I woke up in my room at 6 AM to have enough time to finish a model of a building for my job as an architect at one of the best construction company in the city. I woke up before my family who was staying in bed at that moment. After the birthday of my son I started to be suspicious of my family because they started to avoid me, yes is true that I wasn’t at my son’s birthday, but I had a lot of staff in that day and this is not a motive to be avoided by my own family, or is?
I finished the model at 7 AM and no one woke up until I finished it. I ate in a hurry and at 7:30 AM I was standing in the infernal city traffic to be at 8 AM at the office. I presented the model in front of the comity of directors and as usual they accepted it and they said that is one of the best models that I ever made, and that was impressive for me.
The day continued normal with a lot of boring stuff like reading of documents
and signing contracts until 4 PM when I got a message on phone from my wife, but I ignored it because I believed that is just a shopping list.
I finished my program at 6 PM and near my car I remembered about the supposed shopping list. I took out my phone and after the reading of the cursed message I dropped it on the wet asphalt. In the message was written that I’m a phantom in our family, a shadow that is always too busy to play soccer with his kids, to take them from school, and to be present at their birthdays, therefore she and the kids moved at her mother until she would find a job and an acceptable rent.
Is Saturday night, it's been a week and four days since my wife and my kids moved out. I’m staying in my lonely house, with a bottle of gin, with the accounts full of money and a question fills my mind, I’m busy enough?
7 ,,Life at a Glance'' by Vacaru Artiom
Once I had an instructive incident, after which I had to draw important conclusions. During the summer holidays, my grandparents decided to go for a walk to the forest. They live in their home, and not a large river flows far and there is a green forest. I went with them. We walked along the forest paths for a long time, it was warm, our grandmother told interesting stories, and grandfather whistled beautifully. He promised that he would once teach me how to whistle. Soon I said that I was tired and my grandmother took out a cover from her hiking bag and squeezed it on green weed. We had a picnic.
Soon my grandparents decided to lie down for a rest, and I could walk not far from them. I followed the overgrown path and looked at the trees. I did not notice how I moved too far. At first I decided to call for help, but then I remembered how the characters from the cartoons do, and decided to independently find the way
and go back. I began to follow my tracks. Then I realized that I was confused and
began to cry. Suddenly, she heard Grandpa's voice and shouted back. It turned out that I did not go far at all, and our camp was behind two bushes.
After this incident, my grandmother told me that as soon as I realized that I was lost, I had to scream and call for help. If I went the other way, I could go very far and get lost for real. Now I know that if I lose sight of the adults again, I will stop there and call them so as not to get lost any more.
This incident made me think about how well I was in childhood not caring for anything and just being with my grandparents. To our desire, we grow up and those days are impossible back, by this we need to appreciate the time spent with loved ones and not waste the rest of our time in the empty.
I should start this story at the point where I was in 10th grade. I was new to the experience a lyceum has to offer, so I’ve had some trouble fitting into the new working requirements. One particular difficulty of mine was keeping up with the tasks I had to fulfil during the school year. I also noticed that I had trouble starting new projects, hobbies, books, etc. I was constantly asking myself the questions “why can’t I keep up with my own plans? why can’t I reach my goals? Why do I unconsciously lose time?”. It wasn’t until I spoke with one of the best students in my class that I understood what the main problem was.
Essentially, l was living in the future. I kept telling myself “I will start this project tomorrow. I will start reading this book next week. I will start going to the gym next month.” This mindset was basically keeping me from achieving my goals, because I would base all of my actions on the future. The truth is, no one is sure about what is
going to happen a month, a week, a day or even a second ahead. It is just pointless to rely on things you’re not sure of.
What I started then to do is that I asked myself, as frequently as possible, the question “am I free right now? What prevents me from starting right now to work towards my aspirations? What should I be actually doing in this moment?”. Now, whenever I notice that I have free time, I pick up a book, I do some additional work for my classes, I do physical exercises. I am living in the moment, today, right now. I take action on something the instant that the thought alone crosses my mind. I am not wasting any time pointlessly.
In conclusion, this story about myself is supposed to send the idea that you have to live in the present. Living in the moment leads to a happy, successful, fruitful life.
