Way back when I was just a little sea lover, 

my father told me a story of a buried treasure 

chest.   He said that when I was old enough, 

he would give me the secret map that would 

lead to the treasure.   Well, my father got very 

sick from being out in the cold, wet winds so 

far, far away from home.   He was not able to 

get better.   His last wish was that I find the 

treasure chest and cart it back home.   So that 

is what I am going to do.   Will you help me?

This is a map of Scarface Island.   This is where 

we need to go to find the treasure.   It is 

surrounded by harmful sea urchins, sharks, 

and mermaids.  

My ship has been parked for a long time 

waiting for this moment.   I want to dart across 

the water as fast as a dog barks.   I must get 

home before the stars come out.

The waves have been harsh.   The ship has 

rocked back and forth.   Even though part 

of me wanted to turn around, I knew I 

must go on.   I scrapped my arm trying to 

keep the sails where they needed to be. I 

think it is going to scar.   However, that is 

a small price to pay if I find the treasure.

Scarface Island at last!   That was a hard 

journey, but it has just started.   I must now 

travel by foot to the spot marked on the map.
