My name is Marco Polo! I started traveling at age 17 with my dad and uncle, moving along what later was named the Silk Road. 

 I was around years ago from 1254 to 1324!

I was a merchant! That means I sold things to other people.  

I traveled all over! Places like Europe, Asia, and China.  But, I was born in Venice, Italy. 

My family were also merchants.  My uncle and father lead me.  

I also raised 3 daughters.

I wrote "Il Milione" which, in English, is "The Travels of Marco Polo: which describes my travels.  

It came about while I was in prison and met a fellow writer
