Hello Friends,
My name is Porsha Perfect. I am a square. Squares have 4 equal sides and 4 equal angles.
To sum it up, squares are absolutely perfect.
I go to RoundVille Elementary School.
We are all shapes.

It may sound a little funny but I promise, I am just like you. I have feelings, friends, a family and even a favorite subject.
You would probably think my favorite subject is math.
But my favorite subject is ...

Lunch - because I get to sit with my friends and talk.
This morning, mom reminded me I have a math test today. I thought: "Of course I do!"
Mom, do not worry I studied all night. I will do absolutely perfect.

I walked into class when Ms. Angle handed out the tests. I looked down at the paper, started to get dizzy and thought “Oh No.... I know nothing.”

All my friends handed in their paper within 15 minutes. I was watching them and started to go faster down the page.

I started erasing, then thought since I am the only square all the answers must be right.

After making a hole in my paper, I handed in my test.
The next day came and I got my first ever 15! Ms. Angle had to make a BIG BIG BIG mistake. She even told us the lowest grade in our class was a 15.

I started to believe that I am a disappointment. I failed and in RoundVille everyone knows if you are a square you must be PERFECT.
The next day, I went to school dreading to see Ms. Angle, going to lunch, and seeing my friends. I knew everyone would think of me as a failure.

I got to school when everyone handed in their signed test. Ms. Angle looked at me. I threw a rolled-up ball which was my test on the table and didn’t even look up to smile at her.

Ms. Angle told me to come see her for lunch. Like why would this help me, so she can remind me that I am a failure?

I slowly walked to the classroom during lunch. Ms. Angle was sitting with my rolled-up paper ball test waiting for me.

Porsha, you made a mistake. That is okay. Everyone makes mistakes. Remember how many times Ms. Angle forgot how to do a problem and got stuck?

Yes, you have, but Ms. Angle you will never understand because you are perfect.
