What was the author's purpose to write the book Matilda: Roald Dahl wanted to write the book matilda because was inspired by his kids, and he made up stories for them at bedtime.
4 Question I would ask him is:
1. I would ask him what Was his favorite book
2. I would ask him his favorite color.
3. I would ask him how many kids did he have.
4. And I would ask him how old was he when he start writing books.

I think that the author's main message is that even if you are small or younger you are still able to do almost everything the bigger or older kids can do. One example given from the book is that, When Matilda was in class she was smaller and younger than the other people in her class, But she was smarter than the people that was in her class. The second example is that when was asleep miss. Honey came to her house and to her parent that matilda is at a third grade level in kindergarten.
The theme relates to me, When I was at my summer camp and new people came to the camp but some people left and the new people that came where in to dancing and if we wanted to be on the team we had t try out in front of them and they picked me to be on the team.

The review I would give the book is a five out of because the book kept my attention throughout the whole book. Also I really like how matilda is so smart, And I also like that matilda how really cool personality even though her family has a really dull personalities.
I have also read the book matilda it is an awesome book and I would recommend other kids to read the book.
Katie, 13
