Yunus Emre was born in Sivrihisar in 1238 .

   He was a Turkish folk poet and Sufi mystic and greatly influenced Touristic culture.

His name, Yunus, is the equivalent to the English name Jonah.He wrote in Old Anatolian Turkish, an early stage of Turkish.

 He died in 1328.He has a lot of tombs in many parts of Turkey.One of them is in Kula.
