First, let me explain what a rhyme is.

A rhyme is a sequence of words in which share similar sounding letters! These letters are usually found of end of words.

When practicing rhyme, many find it helpful to sing or add rhythm to their words!

Try it with me... add a rhythm to the list of words below to help identify the rhyme.

cat, hat, mat, bat, sat, fat, flat, nat

Could you hear the rhyme? 

Let's take a closer look at what made those words rhyme.  

   cat, hat, mat, bat, sat, fat, flat, nat

All of these words share the ending, "at".

By sharing this sound and having  the same flow, these words successfully rhyme.
