You will be asked to write a report about the findings of a report.

Layout of writing a report

1- Introduction: - 

Write the name of the person who requested the report and his /her job.  - What is the aim of the report? (to investigate) - Date of submitting the report. 

2- Facts and findings: 

Write what you discovered in the investigation (in points). 

3- Conclusion:

 Write a summary. General opinion about the topic. 

4- Recommendations:

 Write some suggestions to solve any problem related to the topic (in points). 

5- End the report by writing your first name, family name, your job and company. 

You will be given the information you need in a table.

Now lets practice writing a report.

To write the points in facts and findings part you have to  paraphrase  the given information or notes.

paraphrasing means to write complete sentences using the given notes.

Lets paraphrase the given notes as facts and findings

 For example:

* Use plants extracts for remedies       /medicines. 

Another example:

*Three types of medicines: western, Chinese, Indian.

    There are various origins of Herbal medicines: Western, Chinese, Egyptian and Indian. Each civilization has its unique way of prescribing and treating.

After paraphrasing all points this part will be like that

Facts and Findings:

1-    Herbal Remedies were developed during the early ages of ancient civilizations. Many illnesses were treated with natural materials such as leaves, seeds and even roots extracted from herbs.

2-    There are various origins of Herbal medicines: Western, Chinese, Egyptian and Indian. Each civilization has its unique way of prescribing and treating.

3-    Herbal Remedies are considered safe by most users and experts because the ingredients are natural and chemical-free. On the other hand, not all herbs are safe for medical use.

4. Some medical journals say that Herbal Remedies do not have sufficient healing effects on all cases. However, some studies have found that conventional medicines are more effective in treating certain illnesses

Now write the conclusion in the same way. paraphrase the notes given under the summary or the conclusion title

Some herbal medicines have a harmful effect on the body. But many benefits from herbs, as well.

After paraphrasing our conclusion will be

*Conclusion:

Scientific experts and users of Herbal Remedies are divided about their benefits. However, Herbal Remedies are considered to be safe due to their naturally formulated elements. 

Some Herbal medicines have a harmful effect on the body. But there are many beneficial ones that can help cure diseases that modern medicine has failed to cure.

•    understand that symptoms can get worse before they get better.
