    SANTIAGO: is a boy who is seven years old and waiting for a Christmas present.

    FELIPE: child spoiled by his father.

    FELIPE'S FATHER: A man with a high economic situation gives his son Felipe expensive gifts.

This story begins with Santiago, a seven-year-old boy who lives with his mother.

Her mother is a seamstress, and she has no money.

They rent a very small house.

Christmas is approaching, and Santiago anxiously awaits the coming of Santa Claus.

According to custom, Santiago has placed a large woolen stocking on the fireplace.

Waiting for Santa Claus to deposit his gift in the stocking overnight.

But his mother knows that they have no money and that there will be no Christmas present for Santiago.

To prevent Santiago from feeling sad, she explains that there are things that can be bought with money, and things that cannot be bought with money.

The things that cannot be bought with money are the most important, for example love.

Love is not for sale, but it makes one very happy.

The next day, Santiago wakes up, runs to the fireplace and sees his empty stocking.
