

Thomas Jefferson was born on April 13, 1743 in Shadwell, Virginia. The Jefferson family owned a farm where their house eventually caught flames in 1770, and moved to Monticello.
While getting into politics, Thomas Jefferson served as the 2nd Governor of Virginia in which carried his path into becoming a future Founding Father.


As a founding father, Jefferson was an Anti-Federalist. He supported the idea of a Bill of Rights, to ensure fairness among the country with Amendments.
