EARLY LIFE

Thomas Jefferson was born in 1743 in Shadwell, Virginia. He was the third child out of ten. At only the age of nine, Jefferson began learning Latin, Greek, and French. Jefferson enrolled in the College of William and Mary at the age of 16. He was smart.
MAJOR CONTRIBUTIONS FOR EDUCATION


Thomas Jefferson believed firmly in the value of education. Everything he wanted was to make smart decisions in the government. Thomas spent his last years building the education system in Virginia.

Thomas Jefferson was the third president of the United States of America, the primary writer of the Declaration of Independence, he was a book lover, writing letters was one of his favorite things to do and he also changed the history of education.
