
This book is dedicated for the many farm workers that Cesar Chaves fought to get for justice.

Cesar Chavez was born near Yuma Arizona, he was one of the six children his father was named Librado Chavez, and his mother was named Juana Chavez.
The beginning of Cesar's life was tough at a young age he saw the injustice ,his father faced whom the land he was promised was taken from him by dishonest Anglos, that injustices would stick with him and he vowed to fight against injustice.
Cesar Chavez, as a young boy did not like school. he often recounted memories of being punished by teacher for speaking Spanish and racial prejudice he dealt with in school. he grew up becoming very interested in education and read many books.
Cesar Chavez, graduated in the 8th grade, but soon after his father was hurt in an accident due to the circumstances. he did not go back to school and instead took his fathers place and became a migrant worker.
In 1946 the young nineteen year old Cesar Chavez joined the U.S. Navy and served a total of two years.
After leaving the Navy he married his girlfriend Helen Fabela and started a family in Delano California. they would go on to have eight children together.
In 1962 Cesar Chavez founded the National farm Workers Association, later to become the United farm Worker. Cesar Chaves wanted the migrant workers to have pride in being of the Farm Workers Association so, he created a flag for them on the flag was an Aztec eagle which he thought would give them courage in wearing the power symbol.
In 1966 he led a 340 mile strike from Delano to Sacramento, the strike was the beginning of LA Cause (A cause)during the strike many of the migrate workers could be seen sporting the flag Cesar Chaves created for them.
Cesar Chavez believed that the only way to get justice was through peaceful protest and that the weapon the migrant workers needed were boycotts and a picket for their signs.
