During christmas, my relatives from other places come into our house to celebrate it with us.

As a child, I kept looking through our windows to welcome their arrival, I was always filled with joy once their figures comes into view.

We all meet each other with warm embraces and hugs, since this is one of the few occasions where we would be reunited.

Ang gwapo mo naman!

My relatives always praise my appearance whenever we just meet, I just smile while scratching my head to hide my embarassment.

After being showered with praises, I mano'd everyone who is much older than me as a sign of respect in Filipino culture. This is done by pressing your forehead on the elder's hand as an honoring gesture. People

also uses 'po' and 'opo' to those who are older than them as a sign of respect.

Since I am a child, people older than me usually gives me orders on what things to get, they usually point things using their lips especially when their hands are full.

Whenever I failed to find what they asked to. they'll raise their eyebrows at me as a sign of disbelief or annoyance

They'll be briefly annoyed but they'll eventually shrug it and say 'Bahala na' afterwards, a saying where people would leave what's gonna happen to the gods.

Hayaan mo na, bahala na.

Uy mare ichika mo naman anak mo!

Syempre ikaw muna mare!

I always hear my aunties gossiping to each other. Neighbors and relatives usually gossips, Filipinos don't also mind talking about personal aspects of their life, so asking personal questions is normal.
