storm chasing is a dangerous job and some people even have died from it. While some people do it for a hobby not a job, some people do it as a job. 

While storm chasing storm chasers try to get as close as they can to a tornado and take photos or videos.

A lot of storm chasers have a team, there can be a Doppler on Wheels (DOW) a Tornado Intercept Vehicle (TIV) and a scout.

A lot of them sell there photos to get money. Some storm chasers can earn $18,000 a year by selling photos.

Some storm chasers make shows, my favorite is Storm Chasers. Some storm Chasers get really close to tornadoes to get photos or videos.

While TIVS can go inside a tornado ranging from EF0 - EF3, a DOW or scout can't.

A DOW has computers inside to tell where a tornado is, and a scout drops probes in a tornadoes path. Most scouts are trucks or vans, but not all are.
