Five facts about Halifax
1.Halifax has more pubs per capita than any other city in Canada. Mainly because Haligonians love beer and watching a good game of hockey or any other sport for that matter.

2. Halifax is home to one of Canada's biggest sporting events. The Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon is held every year in Halifax. Over two days participants will take part in six different events including the 5 km, 10 km, half marathon, full marathon, marathon team relay, and the youth run.

3. Halifax and Nova Scotia in general have a shared relationship with the Titanic. When the Titanic hit the iceberg it was 700 nautical miles east of Halifax. The survivors were brought to New York while the dead were brought to Halifax.( Halifax is also home to the three graveyards of the Titanic victims).
