Early humans used to walk to go everywhere. 

Later on, early humans started taming the horses. They would sit on their back and guide them wherever they wanted to go.

At the same time, they started building primitive boats using pieces of logs tied with self made ropes. 

With the help of these boats, they could now travel on water.

In 3500 B.C., early humans invented WHEELS which helped them in making carriages. These carriages were tied to horses. When horse would move fast, the carriage would also move fast.
