One day in a small town in Texas a huge spaceship crash-landed in the woods...

Inside the ship was a little girl from Mars! New to planet Earth Katy is excited to meet other humans just like her! 

Suddenly two other kids appeared! They looked curious, but scared of the unfamiliar ship and a new person they had never seen before. "Hi, I'm from Mars! My name is Katy" said Katy.

"Why did you come to Earth, go back to your Mars!" said the boy. "Who are you? You are dressed so weird!" said the girl. Katy began to feel sad, not sure how to answer their many questions.

"I came to Earth to make new friends..." said Katy. "We don't want to be friends with you, you're so weird and different!" said the two kids. "Go back home, we don't like you." they said.

Now Katy was left alone as the kids ran away. She began to feel sad and thought "Is there something wrong with being different?" "Why don't they like me, I just wanted to be friends."
