They are my friends; Let's go say hi!

and the cloud over there is my little brother Little White Cumulus

"How does precipitation take place?"

The left side of the mountain is called "Windward." On this side, air is forced
to rise over the mountain and begins to cool and expand. When it reaches
the dew point. the water vapour condenses and forms a cloud that starts to rain.

The right side of the mountain is called "Leeward." Once over the
mountain, the air starts to descend into the valley. The descending air is
warm with "invisible water vapour." There is clear skies with no clouds or
rain on the leeward side. If the mountain range is high, a desert could be
found on this side

Tell me more!

Heavier than warm air
stays at ground levelIn a frontal warm front, less stable air mass moves
into contact with a cooler more stable air mass.
The warm air then is forced off the ground by denser air,
creating a gradual slope. The air cools and water
vapour condenses, creating clouds with
steady prolong rain.
Warm Front

As warm air rises, it cools and water vapour condenses to create
cumulonimbus cloud. The precipitation produced by the cold front is heavy.
Cold Front

Heavy localized rain

The heat from the sun heats up the ground,
which also causes the air to be heated.
As the air rises, cooling takes place,
forcing the temperature to reach dew
point. Again, water vapour condenses
and a Cumulonimbus cloud forms.
These clouds can create sudden
downpour with thunder and hailstorm.
