For all my future students,
I hope this book helps you learn a little bit more about me, and where I come from. I can't wait to get to know you!
Love,
Mrs. Wimberly

It's weird to think that your teacher was once a little kid, just like you. Most teachers have an amazing story to tell of where they came from, and how they became teachers. Do they have families? There are so many questions. This is the story of your teacher's life, Mrs. Wimberly. It begins long ago in December of 1991. Lindy Wimberly was born.
Lindy was a little, blonde haired, blue eyed, girl from Arkansas. She was full of energy, and loved her life. She played outside, played pretend school with her dolls, and loved sports.

Lindy lived with her dad, mom, two brothers, and two sisters.

Lindy's dad was in show business. He was a magician, ventriloquist, and artist. The whole family was involved as clowns, puppeteers, singers, and silly acts. They did shows all over the nation!

Most of the time the family traveled together in a van, but they often had to move to new places!

She liked moving to new places. It was very exciting. She always had her siblings to lean on if she was nervous.
The first time she moved, she was three years old. Her whole family moved from North Little Rock, Arkansas to Farmington, New Mexico! It was a dessert there. She lived right next to the Navajo Reservation. She got to experience many fun Navajo traditions and food. Her favorite was fry bread.

When she was five years old, she moved from New Mexico to the big city of Memphis, Tennessee. They play lots of music in Memphis. It is also the home of Elvis Presley. They have great BBQ and Blues.

She lived in Tennessee until she was thirteen years old. Then, her family moved to the gulf coast of Long Beach, Mississippi. She saw the ocean for the first time there. She ate shark, alligator, crawfish, and jambalaya. She wasn't a fan of any of these foods.

One Sunday morning Lindy was told to pack a few things and rush to the car. There was a huge hurricane headed toward her house. Her family once again loaded up, this time in a hurry, and fled to Arkansas. She had family to stay with.
After the storm, Lindy's family stayed in Arkansas. She enrolled in school at Beebe Junior High, and joined the choir where she made tons of friends.
Lindy loved living in Arkansas. This was was her favorite place to live so far! She lived in Arkansas until she was eighteen years old. She loved the waterfalls, hills, and trees. Her family spent a ton of time hiking, swimming, and camping.
Right as she was getting comfortable, her dad decided it was time to move. This time the family moved all the way to Pueblo West, Colorado.
Lindy and her family loaded up the truck again, and moved out west. The mountains were tall and beautiful. There were mounds of snow as tall as her head!

Lindy graduated high school in 2010.
She was so excited.
Now she could take on a job and college!
She had always wanted to be a teacher. She loved reading and theatre.
She moved back to Arkansas to go to college with her friends. She loved Arkansas and had the best time there.

Lindy met Barry in college, and they fell in love. They dated for a year, and then got married!
In 2014, Barry and Lindy had a little boy named Brody! He had curly brown hair and big brown eyes.

They loved Brody so much that they decided to add another baby. In 2020, Lindy had a little girl named Bella. She had brown hair, and blue eyes.

Lindy worked really hard, took care of both of her kids, and finished college. She couldn't wait to be a teacher.
