Tammy the Triangle

wants a new friend

Tammy the Triangle was lonely one day. "I need a new friend to play with" she said. "I hope I can find a friend just like me!" she added before setting off on her journey. 

After walking for miles, Tammy was surprised to find a round shape sitting in the tall grass.

"Hello, I am Erkle the Circle!" the shape said.

Tammy thought that Erkle seemed very nice. But he didn't have 3 vertices like she did. In fact, he didn't have any vertices, he didn't have any sides and he didn't look anything like Tammy! So Tammy kept walking.

When Tammy got to the beach, she ran into a shape that wasn't round! 

"Hello! I am Sally the Square!" said the shape.

Tammy thought that Sally seemed very nice. But she had way more vertices than Tammy did. Sally had 4 vertices and Tammy only had 3. Even though they both had straight sides, they did not look alike. So Tammy kept walking.

As the sun was setting, Tammy ran into a shape that looked like Sally, but was longer than Sally was. 

"Hello! Said the shape. "My name is Rocky the Rectangle".
