Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan was born in Sinop on October 29, 1926. He had a varied childhood due to his father's changing job locations. He attended various schools and universities, both in Turkey and Germany, and conducted successful research in the field of engineering. He later became involved in politics and served as the Prime Minister of Turkey. He passed away on February 27, 2011.
