  • Desert temperatures may be scorching hot in the middle of the day, but in the middle of the night it can get below freezing, why is this? This is because of how little moisture there is in the desert. The sand cannot contain the heat that the sun radiates onto the sand. Other deserts like in the Arctic Circle are already cold because of the area of the earth they are in.
