Role and Responsibility

Chivalry was a code of
behavior. Which includes
bravery,loyalty, and respect
towards women. This relates
to a Knight's role in their life.

Roles and Responsibility of a KnightA knight's job was to use their
knight skills in weapons, horsemanship,
and middle ages warfare. They were
expected to be loyal to their church and
their lord. To be fair and protect the help-
less.

A Knight's Relationship with his LordAt the ages of seven, a boy left home
and went to go live at the castle of a
lord. Who very often was a relative.
The boy would go to the castle to
work as a page. A page is boy training
to become a squire. A page assist women.

Most all wealthy lords had several pages
living in their castle. A page learned how
to ride a horse and received religious
instruction from the local priest.

A Knight's Equipment

A knight had many different
different selections of weapons
or sections. It varies from blades,
artillery, body armor, polearm,
and blunt weapons.

For example these are some of the
weapons that Knights used for their
career.
Battleaxe- Horseman's Pick
Blades- Armingwords, dagger knife,
long sword, and messer.
Ranged- bow, long bow, crossbow,
throwing axe, throwing spear
Body Armor- leather, fabric, plate,
shield, and helmet

Artillery and Siege Engine- battering-
rams, catapult, trebuchet, bullista, and
siege tower
Animals-
Camels
dogs
horses
War elephant
