Ladybugs use their antennae to 

touch, smell, and taste. 

Birds are their main predator.

They come in many different

Ladybugs are most active from spring 

to fall.

Many people believe that ladybugs are

its lifetime.

A gallon jar can hold up to 80,000 ladybugs.

They are known for their scientific name 

coccinellidae.

Lady Beetles or Lady Birds are other 

names for the Lady Bug.

There are also male ladybugs.

Ladybugs can live up to 

nine months.

Most ladybugs have an oval shaped body 

and six short legs.

Their markings and colors keep 

predators away. 

They are quick and reach speeds of 37 

mph when they fly. 

The most common in North America is the 

seven spotted ladybug with a shiny red and 

black body.
