The job of your heart is to pump blood through your body. Even in your
sleep, your heart keeps pumping. If it stopped, you would quickly die.
Your heart is divided into two sides. Each side of your heart is broken
into two sections known as the atrium and the ventricle. Each side of the
heart has an atrium and a ventricle for a total of four chambers.
Your right atrium pumps blood to your
lungs through the right ventricle. In
your lungs, your blood again fills up
with oxygen and returns to your
heart. Your blood now enters the left
atrium of your heart. It is then
pumped out to your body through
your left ventricle. You don't even
feels this Happening do you? Its a
simple yet complicated process.

Did you know it only takes 10 seconds for blood to travel from
your heart to your big toe and back again.

Oxygen is used by your cells as it
performs the functions of life. As
your body uses oxygen, your cells
produce another gas known as
carbon dioxide. It is important that
your body has a way to get rid of it.
The main parts of the respiratory
system is the nasal cavity, pharynx,
trachea, lungs, Bronchi/Bronchioles
and Diaphragm.
The job of your respiratory system is very simple: To bring oxygen into
your body, and remove the carbon dioxide from your body. Your body
needs oxygen to survive.

The nervous system is about action and senses. If you see a bike that
might hit you, you jump out of the way. In that example, your nervous
system was involved in many ways. Your eyes saw the bike, your brain
figured out the bike might hit you, and your brain told your muscles to
make your legs jump out of the way. You sensed and then acted.
The nervous system also senses
activity inside of your body.
Most of the nervous system
responds inside of your body.
The response is not in your
control. Your body
automatically senses and reacts
to something in a organ or cell .

You are holding a hamburger in your hand with a bite missing out of it. In
your mouth you have a small wet ball of mashed up burger, bun,
ketchup, mustard, and saliva. So what's next? Your food begins the
process called digestion. It then goes down the Esophagus like a water
slide and into the stomach which is where your food is broken down and
stored for energy. Then the rest
of process occurs in the
intestines which is broken
down even more and brings
out the non nutrient pieces
and removes water while
being
pushed through the intestines.
After the tour through the
intestines the burger in its new
physical appearance is then
excreted from your body.

The big purpose of the muscles found in your body is movement. We
could be talking about the movement of your legs while you walk. We
could be talking about the beating of your heart.
You have no control over most of
the muscular system. You do
control the muscles in your
arms, legs, neck, and torso. You
have little or no control over the
heart muscles.
Did you Know? Your muscular system
is closely connected to the nervous
system.
