Early Life
Kwame Nkrumah was born in September 18 , 1909. Since Nkrumah was from the Akan tribe they named him what we know him as: Kwame the name given to people on Saturday. Nyanibah and his father(not known) raised Nkrumah very well. They lived in a village in Ghana called Nkroful. Nyanibah , Nkrumah's mother sent him to an elementary school at Half Assini run by a Catholic mission. Kwame Nkrumah was very smart and that is how Kwame got to travel and become an important african figure like Patrice Lumumba.
Around and Back
Nkrumah loved to read like me. He read about politics , divinity and more. He tutored people in philosophy. In 1935 Kwame Nkrumah arrived in the United States of America. Nkrumah was very smart , while in America he received a bachelor in arts in economics , theology and a master in arts in philosophy , and science in education. He spent his summers in Harlem because it was the center of black life in America. Now while in the U.S.A Kwame Nkrumah he had the idea of the Pan-African movement which we will talk about later. Anyway in 1945 George Padmore of London wrote:"He is not very bright, but nevertheless do what you can for him because he is
determined to throw Europeans out of Africa." And his work drove must Europeans out. That May Nkrumah returned to London since World War II was over. Eventually he went back to Ghana to free them from Britain and on March 6 , 1957 he freed his people.
