Isaac Newton was born on 4 January 1643
in Woolsthorpe, Lincolnshire. He lived to be 84
and then died on March 31st, 1727. His father
died 2 months prior to his birth. He never had
any blood-related siblings because of his
father's early death. He did, although, have
three half-siblings. Mary, Hannah, and
Benjamin, which he left most of his property
to. He attended Cambridge where he was a
mathmatician and was noticed for his scientific
abilities orginally.

Sir Isaac Newton was the founder of the 3
Newton's Laws. The first one states that an
object will stay in motion unless a force acts
upon it and a object will stay at rest until a
force acts upon it. The second law is force =
mass x acceleration. The third law is every
action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
He also was known for the reflecting
telescope, color theory, calculus, law of
cooling, and law of universal gravitation.

The first law states that objects will stay in
motion or at rest until a force acts upon it.
Basically, a marble will keep rolling forever if
friction (a force) were to never act upon the
marble. It would just keep rolling forever.
And if a marble was at rest, it would stay at
rest until a force strong enough to move it
(ex: wind) were to push it. This is called
inertia. It is the tendency to stay in motion or
at rest.
This picture show friction acting upon a
moving ball that will eventually stop.
