A summary of the plot:
Chapter 1 – Birth & childhood
Bruce Lee was born on 27.11.40 in California. He was full of energy when he was young. His dad was a well-known actor in a traveling Chinese Opera. He has two sisters and two brothers. After they came back to Hong-Kong Bruce used to go with his dad to work and even played in about 20 films as a teenager. He wasn't such a good pupil and he was involved in a gang called "The tigers". He was fighting a lot and in one of his fights he was hurt badly. It was then that he decided to learn Kung- Fu.
Chapter 2 – back to the states
Bruce started to learn kung-fu, so he knew how to defend himself but still- got involved in fights. Thanks to his quickness, he was an excellent boxer and a dancer. After Bruce got into a serious fight, his parents decided to send him back to the USA. He reached San Francisco in 1959 and started to learn Philosophy. Then he changed his attitude about fighting. He taught his friends kung-fu first for free, and then he opened his own studio (1963). He combined teaching defend movements and taught his students to express themselves through movement. He met his future wife, Linda, at his studio, they fell in-love and got married in 1964. In 1965 their son, Brandon, was born.
Chapter 3 – a TV star
A Hollywood producer saw him in a Karate tournament and offer him to be a part of a new TV series. Later on he hired him for the show "The Green Hornet" as "Kato", who uses his smarts and martial arts skills to catch criminals and save the day. He was so fast, that the makers of the series asked him to slow down, since no one would believe that anyone could be so fast without special effects. The funny thing was that Kato turn out to be more popular than "The Green Hornet".
chapter 4
Because of "The Green Hornet" Kung Fu became very popular in the USA. In 1969 Bruce and Linda had their 2 child, a girl named Shannon. Bruce returned to teaching Kung Fu after the show canceled and many famous actors came to him to learn how to fight. He combined different methods of martial arts, simplified them and created his own style. He developed a system called "jeet kune do". He described his style as "art of fighting without fighting".
