There once was a snail named Eddy. Eddy was a fast little snail.

Eddy didn’t have a lot of friends, and he didn’t know why.

He tried talking to other snails,

Hi!
But they always turned the other way or ignored him.

He slowly realized nobody wanted to talk to him.

He was sad and didn’t know why he didn’t have any friends.

“I’m the fastest snail around, who wouldn’t wanna be friends with me?”, he thought.

He went to his favorite mushroom to sit and cry. “Why doesn’t anybody like me?”, he said out loud to himself.

He realized he should try to make new friends from a different area.

He tried to get them to race, “We should race. I was the fastest snail with my old group of friends.” he said.

The new group of snails didn’t like him bragging. They slowly started to ignore him too.

Eddy tried a new group of snails, but the same thing happened once again.

“We should race, I normally win.”, he said.

Those snails started ignoring him too.

He had no friends and he couldn’t figure out why.

He replayed the conversations in his head over and over again.

He realized what was wrong. He was always bragging about him being the fastest snail.

So he tried again to be friends with the snails.
