This is the belief that the government is for the
people, by the people. So you have as much
control on the country as the president does in a
sense. Maybe even more, as you don't spend
half of your day, every day, filling out papers,
and are earning yourself well-deserved money.
We have power of the country in our hands, but
that doesn't mean that we're able to do exactly
what we want...
But we'll get to that later.
This is a principle based off of the
Roman government. It states that we
elect people, to do our electing for us.
According to the framers, these law
makers are playing a key role in this
government's operation. The leaders
are elected specifically
by the citizens, so as to make it
seem like we have all the power.
When in all actuality we don't.
It's the sad truth folks.
Because of this principle the
government of your town, has the
same power as the national
government. There is no true
presidential power. He is a pawn
himself, in this game of chess, that
thinks himself a king.
The only difference is that he has
more room to screw up.
Whoop-dee-tap-dancing-doo...
This principle splits our government
into three branches. The Legislative,
Executive, and Judicial. They have
power only when working together.
It's all for the sake of not letting the
government overthrow itself
anyway...
The Legislative Branch makes laws,
Executive Branch carries them out,
and the Judicial Branch interprets
them.
