I tried to do this book with respect because the WWII was really tragic and horrifying, where many people lost there lives and where families and generations of people became torn apart because of the cruelty of the battles.
My solidarity with the victims.

The battle of Midway was a battle where the United States was fighting the Japanese in the Pacific Theater of World War II that took place on 4–7 June 1942, six months after Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor.
This began when the Japanese bombed the Philippines, which the United States had controlled since 1898. In may 1942, the Japanese had gained control of the Island. After the US and Filipino defenders of Bataan surrendered, the Japanese forced their prisoners to match more than 60 miles in an incredible heat with almost no water or food. The cruel Bataan Death March resulted in the death of as many as 10,000.
On June 4, 1942, the United States and the Japanese imperial fought in the Pacific in a battle to gain control of the Midway Atoll, where the Americans had a naval base. The Americans suffered a coup 6 months ago at the Pearl Harbor Naval Base. After that the Americans could win or turn around a battle that seemed lost.
Chief Isoroku Yamamoto went to Midway Atoll with 185 ships, including four heavy carriers carrying more than 250 aircraft each, two light carriers, seven ships of the line, fourteen cruisers, and several submarines, destroyers, and supply ships.
The naval supremacy of Japan allowed to put an end to the British military presence in the Malay archipelago and to conquer the impregnable Singapore, the Philippine Islands, Indonesia, and most importantly: to achieve the long-awaited obtaining of natural resources.
The Japanese believed that the Americans were terribly demoralized by the defeats suffered in the last six months and that this would be essential to lead them into the trap that Admiral Yamamoto was weaving for them.
Admiral Chuichi Nagumo, fearing the possibility that there could be enemy aircraft carriers in the vicinity, ordered, as a security measure, to send seven seaplanes to reconnoitre the area.
However, the seventh apparatus was delayed thirty minutes due to a mechanical failure in the catapult that was supposed to propel it. Without knowing it, this delay would have dire consequences for the Japanese, since the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier was on the route of the seventh seaplane, leaving the Japanese squadron completely unprotected.
