Hi! My name is Madeline. Not too long ago, my mom was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The doctors said that having bipolar disorder means being happy sometimes, then being sad other times.
Sometimes, mom is very happy! We play outside after school and have fun!
Other times, mom gets very angry at dad and I for no reason. It makes me feel sad.
Other times, mom stays in her room all day. I can even hear mom cry sometimes.
So mom started talking to someone, where she could express herself and understand what she's going through.
After talking, doctors found out mom had bipolar disorder.
The doctor explained to my dad that mom has to take medicine to control her bipolar disorder. If she forgets to take her medicine, bad things could happen.
Once mom started taking her medicine, I could tell she was much happier! Mom even let my friends come over to play and made us dessert!
