1800's Russia
Current Diplomat: Czar Alexander
Capital:Moscow
THE WAR

Although Russia wasn't involved in many battles, they had a strategic plan to lure them deep into Russia and burn everything (scorched earth) worth it like supplies and shelter and then retreat so when the french would get further in there would be no supplies and not much hope of retreating safely back home which continued until the Battle of Borodino were they lost a lot of people (200,000 casualties) and then Napoleon would begin his retreat.
Losses

Life in the Napoleonic Era
During the Napoleonic Wars, Russia was in a state of hostility with a lot of the other European countries and they were not participating in a lot of the battles. The Emperor, Alexander I, made peace with France and Britain until Napoleon broke that peace by reinstating the Napoleonic Wars. When war broke loose, Russia was able to retreat in order to avoid losing battles and moved to become known as Europe’s greatest power.
Placing Blame

on NAPOLEON

Russia and France had an alliance until Russia started to get upset with the Continental System and the fact that it was cutting off a lot of Russia’s commerce. Napoleon wanted him to join the Continental System and when they didn’t oblige, France considered this such a problem that they later invaded Russia and ended the alliance when the 600,000 troops entered Russia. Therefore, we blame Napoleon for his rash actions and damage.

Napoleon Bonaparte

Russian Diplomat
Russian Diplomat and the Congress of Vienna
The Congress of Vienna was established in order to try to come up with a long-term peace plan for all of Europe. There was a lot of unrest created from the Napoleonic Wars and the French Revolutionary Wars and peace needed to be created. Alexander I, the Czar at the time, was the Diplomat that represented Russia at the Congress of Vienna. Alexander I had two main goals: To gain control of Poland and to establish/promote peace between all of the European powers.

The 2 Goals
1. Gain more territory (specifically Poland)
2. Gain and keep peace in Europe
How To Get It
We will accomplish our goals by uniting with other countries (Austria, Prussia, Great Britain) and standing up to France.
