Probability, in the simplest form, is the how likely an event is to happen.

an example of probability is: What is the chance i grab a pink triangle?

!2 pieces
3 triangles
4 squares
5 circles
3/12= 1/4, 25%, .25 chance of puling a triangle
There are 2 types of probability, theoretical and experimental.
The theoretical probability is what SHOULD happen. Theoretically, if Dracula flicks the spinner one time, he has a 1/6 chance of getting a 3.
Experimental probability is what ACTUALLY occurs. Dracula hit the spinner and actually got a 6. The chance of this is also 1/6, or .16, 16%.

aw man! i got a 6!
Probability is about what you WANT to happen. When calculating probability, the denominator (bottom) must be the total amount of the object, and the numerator(top) is the chances of getting it. (ex 25 marbles, 20 blue and 5 pink- the chances of getting pink is 5/25, which can be simplified to 1/5)

in this example there is 42 marbles. The chance of getting a blue is 20/42. which can be reduced to 10/21.
